On the Menu: Stuffed French Bread

delicious, easy sandwich recipe

On the Menu: Stuffed French Bread After working all day, the last thing I want to do is come home and spend hours fixing dinner and cleaning up. I want something quick, filling, and delicious. This Stuffed French Bread takes about 30 minutes to fix and it is so delicious. The cream of onion soup gives this sandwich such a delicious favor. Serve with chips and baked beans and you have a delicious meal. The only other thing you have to worry about is what to have for dessert.

I have found this recipe to be a crowd pleaser. The soup, onion, Worcestershire sauce, and the garlic powder really pack this sandwich with delicious flavors. The french bread makes this seem like a special sandwich, a fancier sandwich than the norm. It was loved at my last game night. I can't wait to have friends over again for lunch so that I can make this. The taste and the sight of the sandwich makes others think you have spent way longer making it than you did, so they are sure to be impressed.

Ingredients
1 Loaf of French Bread
1.5 pounds Lean Ground Beef
1 Onion, diced
1 can of Cream of Onion Soup
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
2 tablespoons Milk
2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
1.5 cups shredded Cheddar Cheese
Salt and Pepper

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350. Slice the french bread in half and hollow out the middle of both pieces. Tear this bread that you pulled out of the loaf and place it in a bowl. Place alumni foil on a baking sheet and set the two halve of the french bread on it and set aside.
2. Brown the ground beef with the onion. Then drain excess grease. Add the cream of onion soup, garlic powder, milk, and Worcestershire sauce to the beef. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer over low heat for a few minutes.
3. Pour this beef/soup mixture into the bowl with the bread pieces. Mix to combine. The bread pieces should no longer be dry.
4. Pour this bowl into one half of your hollowed out bread. Spread evenly. Sprinkle the cheese on. Top with the other half of the bread.
5. Bake for around 10 minutes until the cheese is melted. Pull from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes. Then slice and enjoy.
