A Good Night's Rest: Beautiful Bedding

I consider my bedroom my retreat from the rest of the world. I believe bedrooms should be a sanctuary, someplace that is peaceful and that always allows you to relax from whatever stress that may be going on else where. I also believe that since we spend so much time in our bedrooms, including time spent sleeping, they need to be comfortable and reflect on who we are. Since I am doing some Spring cleaning I have decided that it is time to give my bedroom a fresh look. I am using the above images as inspiration as well as the rest of my bedding board on Pinterest. This and this are two of my current favorite options. Do you have a go to place for purchasing bedding?

    I REALLY need to get a new comforter myself. It is in a sad, sad state. I'm always so nervous to invest in a new one though since we let our doggies sleep with us! Their little nails snag everything!

    I absolutely LOVE that bright purple.. but my bedroom walls are lavendar and I think my boyfriend would have a fit if I added any more purple!

    I love the blue and white headboard but there is just something so peaceful about an all white bed. I really like Zara Home for bedding. I got an adorable duvet cover from there years ago.

    I'll admit: my bedding is a haphazard compilation from various sources and there was next to no thought involved in its purchase beyond wanting to be warm. I feel like I should pay more attention to it, but I can't seem to stand the thought of paying that much attention to it... I will suggest LL Bean for REALLY warm down comforters though! Mine makes me very happy.

    The purple bedding looks so gorgeous... I hope your pretty bedding stuff search goes well!
