I love the sentimental quality that furniture passed down through generation to generation can possess. If no one in your family has passed down any antiques or vintage furniture or decor to you then you can easily solve this problem by hunting down your own vintage or antique pieces that you can begin passing down to future generations. In my future home I would love to have a few old beautiful pieces of furniture be it an old iron bed or chest or desk. I would integrate these pieces into my modern home.
One day when I have my own home I would love to have the time and money to hunt at flea markets and antique stores for some unique and beautiful antique and vintage pieces that fit my style. What are your thoughts?
Love this...old things are much more appealing to me than new store bought ones...the bed in the first picture is stunning, I'd love that!! Hope you have a great day xx

ReplyDeleteHunting for antiques is fun in-itself. Taking fabulous finds home is even better! I appreciate character, whether it's in a home's architecture or its furniture.

I love antiques. It's like that have character that is unique due to quality design and craftmaship and having a little story to tell from their age.
