Don't you just love old movies? Like how in a lot of them the beautiful female will be seen at some point carrying a hat box? Whether it is because she has been shopping or it is late at night and she is carrying around her most treasured belongings in them while she is meeting up with someone that can help her?
I think hat boxes are so cute because of the way they are shaped. I would love to have some vintage hat boxes. Not only would they be beautiful on display but I could store things in them to cut back on the clutter.

    I have a few hat boxes that I use for storing sentimenal things (mostly cards and letters and little trinkets I've collected over the years) - I love them!

    Oh this makes me want to take a trip on a train. Though my trip would end up like Carrie's and Samantha's train trip (SATC) aka a disaster.

    I have never owned a hat box, but there is something super fancy and classy about one. I think that current fashion is lacking that kind of grace.

    ohhhhhh...... what a great idea!!! I forgot about those box bags of whatever you call them! Way better than the Nightmare before Christmas lunchbox I use to carry around back in the 90's :)

    I love hat boxes as well. When I was still living with my parents, I used hat boxes to store EVERYTHING! I had them in different colors and sizes :)
