Snakeskin prints are sophisticated but at the same time edgy and fresh. Many fashion houses have used snakeskin as a focus in their Fall lines. If you are looking for a way to start incorporating this pattern into your wardrobe an easy way is to begin with a handbag or a great pair of heels. Snakeskin can be a tricky pattern to pair with another pattern. It is also such a show stopper that I suggest considering keeping it simple and classy by keeping everything else solid.
These days faux snakeskin looks just as good as the real thing, so considering saving some money and keeping it faux. Plus, it's just the nice thing to do.

This is a great print, straight after leopard ;) I don't own any pieces myself, but there's some cool knits for sale at my workplace - not the real thing but almost same effect ^^
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would ever buy the "real thing" after seeing this short documentary about the manufacturing of snake skin fashion :( Such cruelty to those slimy little things .. ♥ But, it's sometimes hard to find an item that would have been produced in a way, that harms No one.
Oh, this accidentally turned into a real deep thinking :) Lovely inspiration post !
xx indie by heart
I love the snake print but not sure if I could every pull something off that bold.
