Biltmore Estate
Posted by JessicaIf you follow us on twitter or noticed our sidebar this past weekend I had tweeted that I was going on a mini-vacation to Asheville, NC. I took full advantage of my three day weekend and decided to go on a little trip, because I am not sure if I will be able to get away this summer for a real vacation. I had previously decided to go to Asheville, NC for this mini-vacation because I have always wanted to go to the Biltmore Estate. The Biltmore Estate is the largest home in America. It is such a beautiful place. The house is amazing and the pieces inside have such history. One of my favorite things was a chess set that had previously been owned by Napoleon Bonaparte. It was so beautiful and intricately detailed. You couldn't take any pictures inside the house, but I wanted to share a few of my favorites that I took of the outside of the house, gardens, and other things in the little village.
On your way into the house you are greeted by two lions.
The Italian Garden with its different pools of water and statues was beautiful and serene.
The wishing fountain was so cute and since all of the coins are donated to the Humane Society of course we all had to toss in a handful of coins a piece.
Have you ever been to the Biltmore Estate? If not I highly recommend it. Plan to spend a day by the time you visit the house, the stables, gardens, winery, and the little village.

I went there when I was nine with my parents, but I remember it perfectly! I remember thinking the gold and purple bedroom was the most beautiful, fancy room in the world! :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, I have never heard of this place before but I would love to go. I definitely need a mini vacation soon.
