Strawberry Cobbler

This is a delicious and very easy recipe. Recipes like this makes me think about having desserts at Grandma's house.

Ingredients: 1/2 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup water
3 cups strawberries
2 tablesppons butter, diced
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Butter a 2 quart baking dish.
2. Combine sugar, cornstarch, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and hot. 3. Stir in strawberries and remove from heat. Pour mixture into the baking dish, and dot with 2 tablespoons butter. 4. Sift together with flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Blend in 3 tablesppons butter. Stir in cream. Mixture should be fairly soft. 5. Spoon dough mixture on top of the berries. 6. Bake for 25 minutes. Don't you think this would be delicious for with a scoop of vanilla ice cream?
