These are delicious and very easy to make. I love a combination of caramel and chocolate.
Ingredients 4 squares Baker's Unsweetened Chocolate (we used pre melted)
3/4 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1 package (14 oz.) Caramels
1/3 Cup whipping cream
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 13 x 9 pan with foil, allow the ends of the foil to extend over sides. Grease foil. 2. Mix melted chocolate and melted butter. Add sugar and eggs; mix well. Stir in flour until well blended. 3. Spread half the batter into the pan. Bake 25 minutes or until top is firm to the touch. 4. While the brownie mixture is baking, put caramels and the cream in a medium sauce pan. Cook on medium heat. Keep stirring until completely melted. 5. Spread caramel mixture over brownie layer in pan. Cover with remaining brownie mixture.
6. Bake 30 minutes or until top is firm to the touch. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Lift brownies from pan with foil handles before cutting into squares. The lining the pan with foil is very important. The caramels are very sticky.
Happy Baking,
